Thursday 5 September 2019 New Home Expert on ITV Tonight Britain’s New-Build Nightmares
"Quantity is being prioritised over quality and it always has been. Housebuilders are only interested in their end-of-year figures to impress the stock market, more than they are in building a house they can be proud of and that goes down from the CEO at the top to the man on the site and it is wrong!"
"The one measure the government can introduce to improve the plight of new homebuyers is a new homes ombudsman. Everybody who has got a problem with their builder after a set period of time could refer their complaint to an ombudsman, in much the same ways as the financial ombudsman service works.
I am appalled that the government hasn’t actually done something constructive to get it created by now. I don’t think that is right."
